Concession from Finanstilsynet
Leiebolig AS, organization number 991 970 037, have a concession from Finanstilsynet that allows us to work as a real estate broker specializing in renting out homes.
In order to work as a real estate broker in Norway, a company needs a special permit. The company must satisfy certain rules and regulations, see Eiendomsmeglingsloven. Among others the company needs:
- Healthy equity capital
- The supervisor must be either a real estate broker, lawyer or a jurist with permit.
- Finanstilsynet must approve the company’s board, supervisor, owners and leadership.
- Demands to the internal control systems
- Reporting of client handling to Finanstilsynet
Secure rent transactions through Leiebolig
The rent from our tenants, are put in a separate bank account, called “klientbankkonto”. The bank account is established in Leieboligs name through a bank that has committed them selves in writing not to use these bank accounts in claims the bank would have towards Leiebolig. Leiebolig is responsible for every transaction with client finances. Bank account documents concerning client accounts will be safely stored as accounting supplements.
Quarterly revision by our supervisor and attorney
In order to sustain a good quality service and to further improve our routines, we have implemented quarterly revision of our client files and internal routines. We do a systematic walk through of our set defined areas of renting out and managing property.
